'FREE' holidays....

Newspaper cuttings of holiday club consoffered as an enticement to attend a timeshare or 'holiday club' presentation. The presentation, which is usually held a prestigious hotel or similar venue, involves several hours of hard-sell by experienced sales staff who are determined to get you to part with your money.

You are often offered all kinds of incentives to sign on the dotted line there and then e.g. special 'today only' prices, cheaper flights, accommodation in exotic places or other holiday services - most of which never materialise.

Be very wary of attending either a timeshare or a holiday club presentation as you will be subjected to pursuasive, hard-sell sales tactics from experienced sales staff that are out to get you to part with your money. Also, it is not advisable to join any holiday scheme that does not allow a 10-day cooling-off period in which you can cancel the agreement as required under current timeshare law.
