Buy cars - sometimes
at auctions - with a high mileage and 'clock' them by turning back the
odometer.
They may forge the service
history, using main dealer service stamps.
They enter false information
about previous owners or keepers on the log book and service record,
to make it difficult for the new owner to check out the car's mileage.
They
profit by ripping-off unsuspecting
customers
who are conned into buying over
priced
'clocked' cars.
If
you suspect thatsomeone
is 'clocking' cars ....
Tell
your local Trading Standards Service and tell
us - it may help us catch 'rogue'
car dealers and protect other people.
