False service documents and stamps by rogue car dealers
Rogue car dealers ....

  • Buy cars - sometimes at auctions - with a high mileage and 'clock' them by turning back the odometer.
  • They may forge the service history, using main dealer service stamps.
  • They enter false information about previous owners or keepers on the log book and service record, to make it difficult for the new owner to check out the car's mileage.False service record used by a rogue car dealer
  • They profit by ripping-off unsuspecting customers who are conned into buying over priced 'clocked' cars.

If you suspect that someone is 'clocking' cars ....
